Having read some of the earlier reviews left, I decided that I needed to personally experience what the other reviewers were noting about this product. A decision I came to regret within a very few hours.Yes, the tablets are kind of chalky. Someone described them as similar to Smarties™ candy, but to me they were more like Sweetarts™. Or even the old-style childrens chewable vitamins (think Flintstones chewables). Far from objectionable, but probably far from the sort of consistency that most children are accustomed to in current sweets.The very first and very last ingredients on the label are both sweeteners (xylitol and stevia) and I suspect that one, both, or the combination of the two was the cause for some pretty unpleasant experiences a few hours later. Without going into too very much detail, suffice it to say that over the course of about three hours time it was necessary to visit my "throne room" multiple times. And when I say "necessary", I mean exactly that... NECESSARY! As a full grown adult, I shudder to think how a child of 3 (the recommended starting age) would react to this same situation.Since this is they sort of product that requires time and testing to know if it's performing as promised, there's no way to know if my experience was unique. My toddler did not like this prebiotics. They are large and smell nice but dont taste the best. They take a long time to disolve and the texture is hard. Price is in the higher end but I just cant get my child to take them in order to see if they are effective or not. Price is in the higher end
