and looks like an expensive piece of furniture
This cabinet fa exceeded my expectations, and looks like an expensive piece of furniture. The finish is exquisite. I was amazed with how carefully it was packaged to avoid damage during shipment. Assembly instructions were minimal, but if you study the pictures and assemble in the order on the instruction sheet it is very logical and no trouble, especially if you have done this type of thing before. Hardware is organized into pouches to make it easy to find what you need. The hinges are well-made and spring loaded, which is a very nice touch. The glass panels were well cushioned for shipment. They are also tempered. One of them slid off my couch onto a laminate floor but did not break. I have seen some complaints about delivery time, but this one came in about a week. I would highly reccommend this to anyone, and may get another if I need the room eventually.

Great and wonderful...perfect for dvds collections that shouldnt be getting dusty and filthy.
Grand total of stars would be four. One star for price (not good price):I think it is too high price for a small shelf, I thought it would be little bigger than I thought. It should be around 120-130$ rather than over 50$ more. However it was good sturdy wood and good matrials there... so That part is two stars.one star for wonderful speedy and non-damage delivering!::-) Great protections. On time fashion! Two star for quality and style and stuff also put together:It has good color. Very beauftial desgined. The dircetions was bad... no words, just pictures... and not even details eoungh... have to figure out most of on my own but successfully however took over hour to install with breaks of course.I love how it is spacy inside... its not tight enclosed inside... in face it is really roomy for all dvds and other media stuff. normal all shelves like that are really craped enclosed and squeezed against to back wall, this shelve doesn't do that... you have like one and half index space opening from door or wall...depend how you put your dvds on.Great products...would buy other one... if it is cheaper than 170$

Best compressed wood furniture product ever. Feels real, all surfaces paneled or painted.
Easy to put together.Would recommend help with the door.By far this product is better than most things I've put together. The back has a supporting cross board in the middle that adds to stability before you put anything else together. The back panel is much thicker than usual, more sturdy, double-sided paned, instead of corkboard on one side. The back side of this furniture is displayable. The back panel.... get this.... slides in. It has groves in all four adjoining surfaces (bottom sides and top). The glass is held in by pivoting bumpers like a photo frame, so it can be removed and cleaned. The door hinges can be adjusted to be flush to the front and sides (the parts of the hinge can be loosened and slide back and forth to this effect), but I didn't have to. It was flush on the first try.All screw holes were predrilled, in the right place, and right thickness and depth.Every part of this piece is well made, effort was made to make it long lasting with parts easy to adjust, and all surfaces are covered. No exposed edges of compressed wood when you remove the shelves.Instead of screwing it to the wall, I opted to put furniture bumpers on the back, and use the included sample cover panels under the front to have it rest against the back wall. The only downside is that due to the weight of the wood and glass, and empty piece will fall over with the doors open, while placed on carpet.

Expensive looking furniture at a reasonable price and easy to assemble
This cabinet is an awesome price for great quality. We were surprised at how expensive they looked and I bought two of them to store under my big screen television to hold dvd's. We don't have cable at our home and we have satellite internet so streaming movies is not an option therefore our movie collection has become quite large. It took a little longer to get these even though we have Amazon Prime but they were well worth the wait. My husband was able to put them together fairly quickly without any issues and only used a Phillips screwdriver.I'm very pleased with them and I like the lighter colored wood because it is less depressing than the dark wood. I actually had a doctor tell me once that I should have lighter colored walls, furniture, and furnishing in my home because they help your mood and make you less depressed.I really think he is right because lighter colors do really help me feel better.

Cute
I'm giving this 3 stars, because it is really smaller than I would like. If the size works for you, then you will probably like it. It's easy and quick to put together; the quality is good; and it looks good. It would be a 5 star if it was bigger, so it would be more useful.

Sturdy and looks great
This arrived quickly and was packaged well, so nothing was broken, not even the two glass panels. It's solid wood with veneer facings, but you can hardly tell, it looks so real. The back panel is not solid wood, but it's thicker than the thin ones that Sauder products usually have. It just slides in some slots. I got Walnut and it's a very nice medium dark color. I'm glad I didn't get the Cherry, because a small piece of veneer was used in the packaging and it looks very pinkish and fake. I was able to put over 170 DVDs in it, and some of them were double sized and a few were box sets, so I'm sure it can hold the 185 it claims it will hold. It's pretty heavy by itself and after we put the DVDs in, we didn't need to anchor it to the wall. But of course, if we had small children who could pull it over on themselves, we'd anchor it. I've already ordered another one for the rest of of my DVDs.

Nice furniture, not elegant or heirloom but nicer than cheap stuff
Great little cabinet, it looks very nice in our living room. We have darker wood floors and dark wood furniture, so it matches great. It's a bit more reddish than the rest of our furniture, but not by much. The construction is nice - it's not particularly hard to put together, though it does feel like the glass isn't in there that securely! I guess it'd be fine. Other reviewers are correct - while it's still empty, it is very unstable. However, once you fill it up with media (from bottom up) it's quite sturdy. It comes with enough shelves to have them each very short, I guess CD-size. Mine is full of DVDs, so I have 2 extra shelves.
