Read the review - why?
Bit about product itself first. Strawberry flavour really good no artificial aftertaste. Sweetness - for me very nice but my wife said it's very sweet. Good amount of protein per scoop whey isolate from grass feed cows. Mixability very good. Couple shakes and powder dissolves really nice. Now the reason why I knocked out one star.1. Price bit elevated - but good ingredients list can excuse it.2. Tube - you get massive tube which looks like easily could hold 2kg of product but is basically filled bit more that in half. For me it looks like tricky marketing strategy - as you pay a lot and first impression is wow really big tub of stuff till the moment when you open it and find out that bit less than half tub is filled by air.So as a quick summary no concerns to the quality - it's a really good product however bit pricey.2.

Tastes great and great macros!
I’ve been really enjoying this protein powder and it’s become a drink I have been having nearly everyday. The ingredients are clean, the macros are solid (high protein, low sugar and fat), and it mixes easily whether you’re using water or milk. I usually go with milk for a creamier texture, but either way, it mixes smoothly without that foamy mess you sometimes get with other whey isolates. The strawberry flavour is my go-to—it’s sweet, has a natural taste, and doesn’t come off as overly artificial or chemical like a lot of other brands. It reminds me a bit of strawberry milkshake, though a bit sweeter and with a mild aftertaste. Still very drinkable and something I actually look forward to. Definitely recommend!

Be Aware it Contains Maltodextrin
I purchased this protein because it comes from grass fed cows and contains no saturated fat. The taste is very sweet and leaves a funny taste in your mouth after consuming it. I could live with that. I was, however, concerned that it contains maltodextrin. Even though it's a non-GMO maltodextrin it is still very highly processed, which involves cooking the starches and adding enzymes or acids to them. The FDA has approved it as a safe food additive, but I wonder why something so highly processed (even though it is natural) is included in this protein.

Great powder
I've used lots of powders like this as a pre/post work out suppliment. I've found this to be really nice tasting and it mixes really well without clumpiness or grittiness. The quality of the powder is on a par with more expensive brands and the energy levels when using it are as expected.

Natural ingredients - unnatural flavour
The description of this product makes you feel like it will be a terrific, natural product. It may have no added sugars or 'artificial' sweeteners, but it IS sweetened with stevia. So much stevia that the shake tastes more like a melted, overly-sweet, cheap vanilla ice cream than anything else. It made me quite nauseous. If you like very sweet stuff, this may be your thing. For those weening themselves off sugary tasting products, avoid like the plague! The one positive is that it mixes well in water or milk.

Good quality ingredients, easy to mix, and a really nice flavour!
I've been really enjoying this protein shake as I like the ingredients, it mixes up nicely, and I like the natural taste of it!Strawberry is my favourite flavour, and this one tastes delicious. I've tried so many different brands but most always taste a bit chemically to me, not this one though and its nice and sweet too, it tastes so natural it’s just like a normal milkshake! You can use milk or water with this drink; I choose milk as I like the taste better. You get a good amount of protein, it doesn’t have too many calories, it fills me up nicely for my breakfast, and it doesn’t give me an iffy stomach, which is a big thing for me.I’m more than happy to recommend this protein powder and while it is quite expensive, the quality is very good. It’s an easy five stars in my opinion!

Great-tasting grass-fed whey protein option with stevia sweetener - quite expensive
Grass-fed whey protein is my general go-to choice of protein powder type as I feel like it is the best of the options available.I had not previously come across the brand ‘legion’ before - although strangely enough that name was on my list of potential names to consider for a brand if I were ever to create one myself. The branding is nice and clear without overwhelming the consumer with claims and marketing statements. I like that it just gets the information across that those in the market for grass-fed protein powder will be looking for - and this audience is likely to be a bit more savvy than the more general-purpose protein consumer. The one thing that they don’t make as much of a statement over (and perhaps should be in my opinion) is around the sweetener choice. You have to check the ingredients list to spot that it is Stevia rather than your more common artificial sweeteners like sucralose or aspartame. I always try to favour Stevia so this is good to see - I just think the brand should maybe emphasise that aspect a bit more. The consistency of the powder is absolutely fine and it mixes as well as I would expect. It seems no better or worse than most other protein powders I have tried - including my regular brand that I would have. The taste profile is good for chocolate, not too sweet and with enough chocolate flavour to feel legit without getting out-of-hand.The price is perhaps the main kicker here. At a price of c. £45 for 1kg tub (at time of review) that is very steep. My regular grass-fed whey protein with stevia sweetener might not be as smartly marketed but doesn’t come in nearly as expensive - in fact often it can be had for half as much. I also think pouches can be a more eco-conscious packaging option rather than using tubs - but I’m open to evidence here.Ultimately, it’s a good product that ticks a lot of boxes - just not the value-for-money one.
