I have been looking for a oil bottle like this for some time and was delighted to stumble upon this one. Some of the reviews say that the bottle leaks, but given its uniqueness I figured I would give it a go.I disassembled it to clean it on receipt which was no mean feat given it comes with no instructions apart from a brief overview on the box. Given the negative reviews, I trialled it with water first. And the outcome was it leaked, from several places: from the top measuring compartment around the outside, from the dispensing reservoir under the measuring compartment into the air reservoir and from the main bottle past the silicone seal to the outside. Ever handy, I reached for the PTFE plumbers tape to ‘improve’ the problem joins with some success. The difficult one to improve is the silicone disc that sits above the air reservoir and is the sole separation from the dispensing reservoir beneath the measuring compartment - a very bad design. As the pipe running through the middle does not stay still and this disc needs to be so perfectly central not to leak, it is basically inevitable that it will leak, though the plumbers tape appeared to help here too.I stepped the bottle up to oil and for the first few days all seemed good. Due to the dispensing reservoir and the design, you will dispense 1-2tsp more oil than you have measured out, which defeats the objective of having this bottle. However despite my efforts the bottle is now leaking and dripping. I am not sure where from, I will investigate once the oil is all used up.So, to summarise:Poorly designed with multiple points of potential failure but nice conceptLack of instructionsDoes not accurately measure due to flawed designLeaks, and continues to do so despite concerted efforts to improve seals. I do not doubt this would have been worse without this!I would not buy this item again.

The action to draw up the oil works well but when you tip it over to dispense the oil you have carefully measured, oil comes down from the fill tube and comes out. If it doesn't measure oil well then what's it for??The very top is just a loose push fit rubber bit, I'd hate to knock it just before use and have a table spoon of oil go everywhere. After only a few tests there was oil inside the chamber that is used to pump the oil, I don't think it's supposed to get in there.There are two positive elements, it feels well made and everything comes apart from cleaning. Unfortunately it's completely useless as a measuring device and I fear oil is getting to places it shouldn't

I do like this oil dispenser as it’s easy to measure the amount of oil you need at the time. It looks good and doesn’t take up much room on the counter top. My one gripe is that the rubbers keep coming out when you’re try to pump oil to the measuring chamber. That’s it really, and I would recommend as it’s quite a handy thing to have, and you don’t get oil dripping down the sides.

I like it. It's easy to measure out oil but don't put anything less viscous in as the suction causes a mess. Easy to clean and makes adding just the right amount of oil easy.

I read the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. I am not sure it always measures volumes accurately as sometimes it just pours but I think you have to be careful to cover the two small holes when pouring, which I dont always manage. It looks good on tbe side. I havent tried to clean it yet, but i dont think any oil storage is easy to clean!

Great item so each to use

Found the initial priming of the using the vacuum lift pump a little difficult as the rubber covers kept pushing out of place. However, since then there no been no problem and found it easy to use. Easy to use and in measuring the amount of oil, there is no more using excess oil.
