I purchased this for my dearly departed, 14 pound cat, I previously had his remains in a metallic urn that was nice but so cold. When my other kitty passed the vet had her cremains placed in a wooden urn and it seemed much “warmer” for some reason. I choose this because it was similar and I am very pleased with the quality and the ease of use. The cremains are securely held and the box is lovely.

My wife passed away suddenly (only 58 years old). We had always planned to be cremated. Sadly, we never discussed what to do with our ashes. She loved carved wooden boxes and had several she kept trinkets in, so I began looking.She was a Wiccan and would have liked the wood and appreciated the tree of life carving. The carving looks very nice by the way. She only weighed about 95lbs (at 5'0"), there was plenty of room for her and some personal items.I saw the exact same box (same manufacturer) at the funeral home for $300+. My baby would have had a fit if I paid that much, for a wooden box. I also like that I can keep it on her altar, and it doesn't have the creepy vibe an urn would have. It doesn't look gloomy, and guests don't immediately recognize what it is. She would have liked that about it. I have enough to be sad about, at least this was nice.

I had 2 pets pass in 3 mos and bought for my first pet and loved it so much got matching one for 2nd petIt has a nice tamper proof opening that u screw closed to prevent anything falling out. Craftsmanship is lovely and classy looking as well as the staining on it! Ty for making my pets last home so beautiful and homey!

My second purchase of the same box different size, the extra large wasn’t offered so I purchased the large. Pleasantly surprised to see that it’s close to the same size, and stunningly beautiful!

These are so beautiful. Well made. Solid. Nicely carved. I was happy that they were each slightly different colors the striations in the wood. One is a gift for a sibling. Perfect size not to large not too small. I felt they were a bit pricey but how can you put a price on something that will home your loved one. We will treasure them. ❤️

To sell something for £90 that is this bad is quite something. The base is not wood and the lid just rests on top loose with no inside edging or any way of securing it. So even the slightest movement will knock the lid off. Probably not the greatest idea when your selling it as an ashes holder. Would have returned it in heart beat but the cost of postage to India made it just not worth it.

Just received my beautiful cremation Tree of Life box today and just placed my Dad (Dadoo) in his new home. The only thing I did not like about it, is that it opens from the bottom, so, when I placed some ashes alone in the box and kept some wrapped in saran wrap, once everything is screwed back in, you have to flip it back over to stand right way and obviously everything is just going to not be placed the way I put it. They should have had it where the sliding door is unscrewed from the side of the box..not the bottom, where you unscrew it and place your loved one and special belonging and then just slide it in and everything will stay as it was put and box will be in upright position, without being shifted. Now, I am afraid, if I unscrew it again to add something else, then some of the loose ashes will fall out. I REALLY DO NOT LIKE that, but, it is beautiful and smells like nature inside and out and my Dad would love that. I unscrewed it to put something else in and some of the loose ashes came out and when you slide the bottom door back in, some of the remains get stuck in the grooves and you have to scrape them out in order for the door to shut again. It is beautiful, but, should have had it open a different way.

I had purchased this boxed urn because of its amazing hand carved craftsmanship which simply shows the unique details and at-least this way it's more than just a plain wooden brown box! As mentioned in another review this medium size WILL NOT fit a 150lbs person's ashes and the only reason why I got the medium it was because she had mentioned it would be good for someone even at 150lbs, she's way off! I was only able to get approx. 60-65% of his ashes in this urn and will have to purchase another medium size box urn to put the rest of my stepfather's ashe's into it. If you're looking to get a good hand crafted box urn this is definitely the best one on Amazon and next day delivery is awesome too!

This box was especially ordered for our beloved Pomeranian Keno's ashes. He was 8.2 lb and his ashes are in a blue velvet satchel. The satchel fit perfectly in the hand carved Rosewood box. We had a brass plaque engraved with his name and dates for the box's side. A fitting vessel for our very special pet.
