These are good, bright lights. My kitchen is 15 metres square, and they're about the equivalent of the 100W bulbs I replaced. I boughht two, because of the way my kitchen is shaped. But one would probably have done if there we'ren't walls and beams in the way of the light. Criticisms - looks like you need to replace the whole unit including the batten if any part of it fails. And the wiring is a bit eccentric. (I bought two of these, essentially identical units, one was 4 foot the other 5 foot. But their wiring was radically different. One had a blue and brown wire. The other black and red. They work fine though. Red to Live and black to Neutral, and Blue to Neutral brown to Live.)

Fitted inside 10x8 shed ,plenty of bright light Loved the complete fitting.Easy to do cable connections and easy to fit into the brackets that are supplied, and an excellent delivery service.

This is advertised as weatherproof and has a short lead with what I assume to be a weatherproof connector out of which extends a very short cable of about 9 inches or 23 cm with some bare ended wires sticking out. This comes out of the end of the unit and should you wish to put the wire through a ceiling for instance, will not even reach the centre of the light. The cable is sealed into the connector so there is no way of removing the cable from the connector should 9 inches or 23 cm of cable be inadequate for you needs - you will have to simply chop it off and use another connector as I did . Please note also that the sealed connector supplied is too bulky to allow flush mounting of the light to a ceiling should you want to hide the wire between the fitting and and said ceiling. The sealed connector will also require quite a large hole to pass through if you are mounting the light on a ceiling or wall. In my case it was for my shed so no big deal but it would not be ideal for somewhere it would be "on show"It fits onto two clips that you screw to the wall or ceiling though they will need to be pretty flat otherwise it will spring out - as I found out due to the bow in the roof of my shed though this was easily sorted by moving the clips closer to the centre., All in all it looks like a great light and is brilliant for illuminating my workbench - would I use one indoors? Unlikely. Just loses a star for the wiring problem.

Superb design and illumination level BUT1) No instructions or guidance.2) There is a wire and 'connector' leading to tails (L&N) but it cannot be positioned between the batten and the ceiling - the connector is too big and the wire too thick for it to hang to the side of the unit.3) The wire and connector therefore has to hang out by the cable entry - which can be untidy.It may be the unit was originally designed to be suspended but given rawlplugs & screws to widen its appeal; or the connector & wire is just too big.It is a lovely light and I'll probably buy more but it is let down by this oversight.

I ordered two of them, one was a cool white and the other was a warm white. That's is the only problem I had. Light level are great.Ps you can't hardwire them they have a fly lead, and I sprayed them black so could not send them back.

Pros:Easy to install - I screwed the clips into a wooden beam. They don't have to be spaced precisely as they can fit anywhere in the back indentation, which runs along the length of the light.Wiring up was no problem - I used some flex I had lying around and just twisted the exposed ends together and wrapped each one about 10 times with electrical insulation tape. Then I went over both of them (see pic) and just put it above the beam. At the end is a plug. I've used a 13 amp but I should really change it down to a 3 or 5 amp.You could put a switch in also as it doesn't come with one.The brightness in lumens isn't stated but go by the 45W when comparing (the 450 W incandescent equivalent seems a bit absurd to me). It's a little bit dimmer than the 5 foot version but I wanted a weatherproof one as the roof of the conservatory can slide open. You can see from the pics how it lights up the room - it's perfectly adequate but if you want really bright, get two.The colour temperature at natural white (4000 K) is great - I don't like the cold white for a non-medical room.Sturdiness - seemed fine to me.

Be aware that this light flickers quite badly at mains frequency, clearly not a good led driver power supply. It may be ok for you but if you are susceptible to flashing lights please buy a different product. Otherwise well constructed bright and does the job

Love this light, good and bright and quite straight forward to fit. I have it up in my shed, and wow, better than day light, definitely a 5 star product.
