The smell of this is overpowering not even cooking salmon comes close. I got it on my hands and it took a good few washes to get off!!However it was bought for my 14 year old boy cat. I noticed he' started to have trouble jumping onto the dresser in the living room for "treats" at bedtime. He'd get half way up and not make it., falling half short. He was also walking along to the low fence to jump up or down rather than the higher ones he usually did. I thought it might be some joint stiffness.I started to give him this in his food, Im surprised he ate it as he is extraordinarily fussy about food and eating things in his food. But he likes it. It only took about a week and he is actually back to leaping on the cabinet and up and down whichever fence he fancies. I can only put it down to this as nothing else has changed.

Can't vouch for the taste but my fur babies love it

My dog still eats his food with the supplement added.

I have just received this item & have not opened it yet, so cannot comment on the flavour or ease of dispensing, but was somewhat confused to see a label saying "Made in CHINA" stuck on the outside of the sealed package. I specifically chose Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil over Scottish or Norwegian oil, because of the negative reports of salmon health in those countries.I hope this is a case of mistaken labelling.

Salmon oil can be a really useful food supplement. Only time will tell just how effective this one is, but there already seems to be improvement in their joints and coats. I have cats of various ages but I wanted this especially for one of my elderly kitties who is starting to have achy joints in certain weather, and a couple with allergies. This is a very good quality Salmon Oil with no nasties included, and it's well presented too.It comes in a bottle inside a card box, sealed with an extra wrapper. Inside there is an extra pump fitting included that you replace the top with so you can measure it out. There are instructions as to how much to add to your cat or dog's food, and it's easy to dispense. Not messy either. My cats have tried some other brands in the past and refused to eat it or had an upset tummy, but I'm happy to say they're eating this one no problem - I'm just adding it to the wet food, and they're eating without even looking suspicious and no upset tummies which is great!There is only a faint scent to it, no strong fish smell which is another positive. If you want to keep it out of the fridge it will last a month, but if you refrigerate it then it will last 6 months - very helpful if you have a small pet rather than a larger one/multiple pets, and also if the weather is hot (I've put mine in the fridge but I'm sure I'll have used it well within the time).This seems good value Salmon Oil to me at around £9.99 and as my cats are eating it and actually enjoying it I would be happy to recommend.
