I am pleased with this purchase! The size of the product is adequate--big enough to handle but not too big so as to be cumbersome. The alarm sound is distinct and annoying so it will be good for drawing attention--it even left my ears ringing a little bit when I tested it out.I also like that the pin is restractable--not removeable. All you have to do is give the blossom a firm tug to activate the alarm without fear of losing the pin.I'll be keeping this in my bag and taking it with me when I travel. I attached it to another personal protection item I got on Amazon--hoping I never have to use these, but I'm glad to have them both.

It's very bulky to keep on a key chain with car keys. I listened to the alarm and in my opinion I don't think it's loud enough to scare anyone or to attract attention for help from others.

Have them to all my gran daughters at Christmas time!

I do believe this would be very effective. IT IS LOUD! I like it because it is compact. You can clip it onto the outside of your purse to have it handy. When you are going to be walking to your car, or just be somewhere you may not be comfortable, you can use the separate wristband to put it on your wrist and hold in your hand. To set it off you just pull the pin out of the top and it makes a LOUD, blaring noise. To stop the noise you reinsert the pin. What I really like is that the pin stays attached to the unit when you pull it out, so you won't lose it. Very handy item and something I plan to carry with me always.
