This straightener is super! Heats up super-fast, and they even give you a cool little glove to protect your hands form the very hot outside. Some cool features include: Super-fast heat-up (about 20 seconds from 0-375 deg.) Dual utility for curls or straightness (haven't used yet for curls, but the design suggests you can). Swivel cord, so you don't wack yourself in the face with it. Easier to pack up as well. LED screen that shows exactly the temp. Temps ranging from 265 deg.-445 deg (Fahrenheit). Who can beat the price, either? I got mine for under $40 bucks. When I did my own hair, The straightness held for more than 2 days, which is great- but not without some wear-and-tear due to humidity (I do live in Florida!).The only thing I'm not crazy about is the gap between the hot plates, and the encasing itself. Some hairs were trapped, and yanked out accidentally the first time I used it. Some of this might have been because I wasn't being extra careful, but it does seem to fit with the otherwise sleek design (as seen in photos). I am on the fence. Owned this straightener for over year and it does a great job, gets hot and straightens perfectly! The only downfall is that it literally pulls my hair out! There is a gap between the plates and the plastic, so my hair gets stuck and it’s painful. I wouldn’t purchase again.

Really happy with this product. Spent a few days looking at flatirons after my trusty 5yr old one broke. Honestly I almost never "straighten" my hair fully and instead was looking for a tool that would smooth my curls a bit on the ends or also just create more defined cute waves and curls. I had high hopes for this product because it looked exactly the same as another red tapered straightener from a different brand which was nearly $200. I really love the tapered end, it makes it SOOO much easier to create really nice curls. Seriously, it's better than a curling iron. I wasn't sure if the reviews on here were real or fake but for 30 bucks I figured It's worth a shot. Really really happy with how this product can create curls and waves. I'm normally not a fan of red anything but it's kind of cute, wish they had more colors though. The cord seems really durable and thick but very flexible. I can see this lasting a long time. Easy shut on/off, adjustable temperature, and I like that it came with a velvet storage bag. I only curled my hair on about 280 degrees and it did a fantastic job; I probably won't use the heat glove simply because I don't use the high heat settings and the heat wasn't transferred to the handle while using, but it's nice to have anyway. I'm really glad I took a gamble on this product. I've never used a heat tool that gave me the textured curls and waves I want- attached a picture (sorry for the silly filters to hide my face). If you're looking for a product that will be a multi use tool good for both curling and straightening, THIS IS IT! So much better than any curling wand or iron I've ever used.

I am greatly pleased w/ this item. My daughter's hair is extremely kinky and thick. After we got a keratin treatment, this has helped us keep it straight. I would have rated 5 stars, except for the fact that the increments on temp are 15 degrees apart. I was hoping to use the temp of 425 but could not. It comes with a heat glove which is very nice, I paid over double for a straightener a few months ago and it did not. Overall, this is a great straightener (so far, only had it a few weeks).

Man I am so dissapointed in this iron. I will not recommend any one to purchase this because first of all it look cheaply made. Second the plate DO NOT close all the way so when you are ironing the hair it loses grip in the middle of the hair. It does get hot but because of the poor care that went into the plates it sucks.The plates are the most important feature of a flat iron. Don't buy it. I would return it but its not even worth it, I'm giving it to my little niece.

I never write reviews for amazon products, but this time I felt compelled to do so. This is by far the best curling iron I ever owned. Well, I know it's not really a curling iron but it still curls my hair beautifully and better than any other curling iron I ever owned.I have 4 curling irons, much more expensive and none of them give me the beautiful and natural curls this one gives me.I like my hair quite curly but i also tried to get some beach waves with this iron and in both cases the result was outstanding.I set it at 410 degrees as I felt anything less would have not curled my hair enough. I also used the "Sexy Hair Style Protect Heat Defense Hot Tool" before and after I curled my hair. It took me 20 min to figure out how to use it but once I did it I was very pleased with the result. Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd flat iron purchase in my adult life, I have owned 2 before this one, one Chi and one Croc, both of which I paid nearly 4 times the amount for. This iron is hands-down the most superior of the 3! I have very short hair and am in the process of growing it back out after chemo and this iron works beautifully on my hair. I use it for both straightening and curling. It heats up quickly, has a digital display regarding temp., and the pointed tip is also nice. It has a VERY long (and heavy) cord, I assume this is more for salon use. I would buy this product again without hesitation!

I purchased this flat iron in October 2016. Today, when I tried to use it, halfway through doing my hair, I heard a pop and it shut off. Now it won't turn on again. No fuse blown. Just won't turn on. I can't find anywhere in the description as to who to contact about this. Can anyone help? Tried to google Waker, but got no results. I really did like it when using it, but a few months is not worth the money.
