Keith, Lance, Hunk, Pidge, and Sven are an elite team of space explorers sent to find the last princes of planet Arus, Allura, and the keys to Voltron. Together they discover the five lions that make up the legendary robot, buried in the smoking ruins of planet Arus. However, the evil warlord King Zarkon appears and rains down destruction across the universe. When things seem darkest, our heroes form Voltron and begin a new struggle against his cruel empire.

Good AND Cheap
There's some really weird reviews for this product that I frankly don't understand. This is a repackaging of the five Lion Force Voltron tin-box sets that were originally released circa 2007. Those sets are still floating around and you can find them cheaply, but THIS product and its companion volume (Part 2) collect all 15 of those original discs from 2007. Some reviews are vocal about the fact that these discs have been stacked on a spindle and aren't secured on trays. I agree that this is not ideal but for ten dollars (the current Amazon price) for several dozen episodes of Voltron including special features, I can't complain. If I wanted the packaging I would track down those tin collector's sets. This new collection was designed for people who want to collect the entire series in two easy steps. As far as the spindle packaging, more and more companies seem to be doing this these days and I don't really have a problem with it. And both of my collections arrived in the mail from Amazon in flawless condition. The discs are pristine, no scratching whatsoever.If you don't own any of the Lion collections, this collection and part 2 are an easy way to get every single one of those discs for around the same price as just one the tin collector's editions. I highly recommend it.

In the beginning there were lions
Stop scrolling. You can get what you need in this review right here. This is the first half of a 2 box set. The Voltron Lion Force came before Power Rangers, before Thundercats, before Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They were first. A step above, they defend the galaxy, only a ragtag group of young adults, making Voltron. If you NEED to see what I'm talking about, go to YouTube and watch an episode. Then come back here wondering why you went so long without embracing the Lion Force. Throw your money at the seller and demand that you get this product. Your new adventure awaits you. ;)

A little disappointed
A little disappointed. Really don't like the bits that say will be back after these brief messages. I'ts like they have taped it from the tv and deleted the ads. Also disappointed that the seven discs come packed on top of each other so they can get scratched easily. Other than that I have only watched 4 episodes because I'm busy and I have enjoyed those.

I bought this not knowing what to expect, the Bonus material is excellent, and the kids love the action and all the episodes that go with this set.Will have to find more Voltron in the near future.
