Kids love, educational, steal of a deal
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my kids for Easter; one for each kid. My kiddos absolutely love these egg sets. My 3 year old has an easy time matching the shapes and playing with this toy however, still loves it and carries it around everywhere. My 2 year loves this toy but finds it a little challenging however, loves making the baby chicks chirp. As a mom I love this toy for a few reasons. 1. It's educational without being boring or dull. 2. The colors are vibrant so it helps me teach the kids colors. 3. The kids learn shapes and matching. 4. We also learn counting when we count the eggs. 5. We work on Gross motor skills when we put the eggs in carton, when open the carton, and when we close the carton. 6. The baby chicks chirp. 7. I think it is a steal for the price ( was worried about it when I bought) 8. Also the only egg set I found that doesn't not have a 3 and up label on it.The only little thing is my daughter's egg set has one egg that looks like it's mascara is messed up. However, it's no biggy.

Great toy for toddlers - huge hit for Christmas!
I bought two of these as Christmas gifts for my daughter and my niece (both 14 months old at the time). They love it! They love pulling the shells from the eggs and finding the different colored chicks inside, and they love picking the eggs from the box and then trying to put the whole thing back together again. Now, matching the shapes to sort the eggs back into their respective slots on the tray is still somewhat of an advanced skill for them, and sometimes they get a little frustrated, but I guess they'll get the concept soon. For now they need a little help with it. The same would apply to matching the eyes on the chicks to the eyes on the shells, but at least all shells fit on all eggs so for now they don't even notice it.Also worth noting, the box is a little difficult for them to open on their own, but I guess that could be considered a feature instead of a problem - I actually like it better this way. I'm a little worried the "hinges" on the box won't handle a whole lot of opening and closing before they come apart, though. And as mentioned in a previous review, the "peeping" sound the chicks make when you push down on them is VERY soft, kind of a faint squeak really. It almost feels like it was not designed, but instead during manufacturing someone noticed the sound and decided it was a feature. Still, the girls liked it so much I don't feel I should knock a star off because of this. All in all, an excellent purchase I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anybody.

Matching shapes, faces and colors, with a squeak that makes kids giggle!
There is something with kids and egg cartons, I swear! We love toys that don't use batteries, and this was no exception. We got this game for our four year old after he played with it during his Ocupational therapy sessions. It has so many nice features! Each chick has a different "face" so the eggshells match each chick. Also, each chick is a different color. On the bottom of each eggshell there is a shape that fits into a specific spot on the egg carton: circle, square, triangle, star, plus sign, and heart. The chicks squeak when you push them down so that makes most kids giggle. It has been a great hit with friends coming over, I highly recommend it!

Great developmental toy!
This is an adorable toy! I saw it at a friend's home whose 1 year old got it as a birthday present and it was his favorite gift. My 20 month old daughter seemed to enjoy it as well, so at $13 or so I couldn't resist getting it. It has so many things going on with it that it grows with your child. Right now she loves the different colors and taking the tops on and off, and she loves pushing the head down to make the squeaky noise. As she grows, she'll learn how to match the eyes and also match the bottoms to the different shapes. Great toy and a pretty decent value. This will probably be my "go-to" purchase for 1-2 year olds going forward!

Great gift for toddler
My 13-month-old son got these eggs for Christmas and he loves them. Just the simple act of taking the shells off to reveal the colors, and then taking each egg out of the carton, is so fun for him - and he carries them around like treasures. For that reason alone, they are a winner! That said, in my opinion, there are a couple of downsides. First, I generally like the idea of the shapes on the bottoms of the eggs (so he has to match the shapes to those in the carton to get them back in); however, that's a pretty advanced skill for his age, so while I think he'd be interested in putting them back in the carton, he's not going to be able to get them to sit in there the way he'll want them to - so I am predicting a bit of frustration there. But we will see. :)Secondly, I don't know if we got a bad batch or if they are all like this, but our eggs BARELY squeak when we push down on them. It's more like they ALMOST squeak... more like a tiny rush of air that WANTS to be a squeak, than a real squeak. Some of them are more squeaky than others, but none of them really make a distinct squeaking sound. It's faint enough that I'm not even sure my kids realize that there's any squeaking involved at all. That kind of bums me out - I think they would love the squeaking if it really worked! In general, though, these are still a winning toy for us.

Has entertained for 2 years!
My little one loves these. I originally bought them for her 1 year old Easter basket. She is now 3 and she really got interested in them more around the 2.5yr mark. They make a small squeak sound, that isn't very loud and doesn't annoy me at all. She actually chooses this as her item to sleep with most nights, which is weird but cute. This was a very nice set. My only small complaint is that the "carton" has weak plastic at the hinge and broke about 4 months into have the product. I recommend this product for a small child's Easter basket. We've enjoyed them!

Surprisingly fun
My 4-,3-, and 1-year-old kids all loved this toy. The eggs are made of sturdy plastic that hasn't bent or broken despite being frequently stepped on, thrown, chewed, and treated how young kids tend to treat their toys. We've had it for several months now and it still holds their interest. My one complaint is that the carton is very difficult for kids to open on their own and it eventually broke apart at the hinges.
