Hot Steam SGB-600

Great iron. I bought it specifically for my sewing room, and LOVE the fact that it stays on all the time. Only one item that is less than ideal: one is supposed to turn off the water supply after each use, since the water bottle has to be hung ideally 36" above the iron, this is somewhat annoying for me, have to climb on a stool each time. I think I might add a valve at the base to avoid this, but it would be nice if it came with a shutoff also at the iron connection.Iron works wonderfully, I have never enjoyed ironing so much. I can turn to it when I need it and not have to wait for it to heat up, and the big water reservoir is fantastic. I have had it for about two months and still have 2/3 of the bottle filled up.

I had been trying to not drop big bucks on an iron but when my last one quit me I couldn't put it off any longer. I read and read and read some more to find an iron that would fit my needs. I love to sew and needed an iron that would provide great steam to help remove wrinkles and shape my current project. I also need to iron everyday things like shirts and pants and this iron seemed to fit the bill. Setup was quick and easy and the instructions were good. The only thing I don't like is that it requires a permanent setup as most gravity fed irons do. Just be careful if your chosen spot happens to be on carpet... My ironing board tends to shift back and forth a little bc if the carpet and you have to be careful or the iron can fall off your board. Just make sure you have your iron in the center of your board when stepping away. That could be a common sense thing... But ask me why I felt it necessary to include that info in this review. Exactly.Overall, great iron and works perfectly!
