Gold Medal Flossine Can, Strawberry

The flossine is a great product it is just as good as the floss sugar. All you have to do is add an extremely small amount of this product to table sugar and you are good to go. This is the best value if you are making cotton candy.

I LOVE Flossine and I use it all the time. Two tablespoons of this with 5 lbs of sugar makes for great flavor and color. Easily makes you a lot more money then compared to the pre packaged sugar with flavor solutions. After buying flossine I would not go back to the pre flavored sugar ever.Simply measure out 5 lbs of sugar and add two tablespoons of flavor and mix well. Add to cotton candy machine as normal. You can vary the amount to suit taste and color OR mix flavors for your own creation.Ps. You MUST try the green apple, it is very tasty!

First, the flavor is great! Five stars for that. The weekend before we used this, we had used the premixed bubble gum flossugar from Gold Medal and the kids absolutely hated it. I prefer to use the flossine because I can mix the strength the way I want it and it is far less expensive to mix your own. The children loved the strawberry flossine and hated the bubble gum flossugar.The reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the residue. This may be unfair, but I've used flossine to make cotton candy on two different machines. The first time was on a large machine with variable heat that I could control. If I kept the heat in about the lower third of the range, it would make cotton candy a little slowly, but it would make it evenly and without burning it. When I used it on a smaller machine with no heat control, I was constantly having to turn it on and off to keep it from burning and it left an awful lot of residue around the bowl that the premixed flossugar did not leave. Honestly, I do not know how much blame I can fairly assign to the flossine, but I took away one star because it was outperformed by the flossugar in that area.That said, I still would never go back to using that bubble gum flossugar. Like I said, the flossine is amazing volume for the price, it gives you the control over the strength of the flavor, and it uses much less space in storage than flossugar does. And the kids LOVED the strawberry flavor.

The product itself is 5 stars, but the container is NOT sealed air tight; so 0 stars there. There is a plastic tamper ring on the lid, but the lid can unscrew just enough (without breaking the tamper ring) to allow the fine powder to spill out all over the inside of the box. It is BRIGHT RED, stains everything it touches and if you get it wet, it literally looks like blood (would be a great product to create fake blood).Other reviewers have experience this same leakage and some report a rock hard product which I am sure is due to the packaging not being air tight...basically, you have a plastic lid screwed to a plastic bottle with nothing to keep the lid from unscrewing even the slightest bit..and if it unscrews a bit, it's exposed to room moisture and will spill out if not upright....fail.The powder is so fine, and so readily draws in water, that the top of the package should have an air tight seal, then a plastic lid with a tamper indicator should be screwed on...I'm sure you've all seen packaging where under the lid there is a foil seal..that's what is needed here. I returned this item since a bunch of it was all over the box and my hands are still reddish from the dye..what a mess.

Is this a joke??? AND BECAUSE IT IS "FOOD" Amazon won't do anything about a return!!! NO REFUND! I am so disgusted! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!Pink Vanilla flavor - apparently sold by Hypotermias.comI didn't get to taste it because I wouldn't dare use it. $20 WASTED! It arrived like this! I could smell the contents before I even opened the package. Figured that was definitely a bad sign. Once the packaging was removed I realized that Not only was there powder on the outside of the container but they had also used painters tape to tape the lid to the container. I'm not even going to check the inside contents. I weighed it to compare it to another flossine container I just purchased and even with the addition of th tape it is around an ounce lighter than the new container. This seller has GOT TO BE JOKING!

So I wanted to make Carmel taffy apple popcorn and omg this came out better than expected the flavor was on point and definitely turn the popcorn green. Next time I just need to use more Carmel flavor however the green apple was perfect.
