Won't stay on a desk with a beveled edge
My desk has a beveled edge. The mounting clamp won't stay on. I'll probably end up drilling a hole in it and using a screw or bolt to mount it.I did end up mounting with a #10 machine screw to hold it in place. After that it works great. Holds my blue yeti where I want it and swings out of the way when not in use.

Good stand for the money
I needed a desk mount boom arm to replace a short iron base stand that took up too much room on my desk and was never quite in the right place. I looked at the Rode and Blue Microphone models, and just couldn't justify the cost. I looked at the cheap ones, and most of them look like the spring arm desk lamp I have that I regularly cuss at, since it doesn't want to stay where I put it.This looked like a good compromise both in cost and sturdiness, so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. I have my MXL 990 in its spider mounted on the arm. I use it both for Zoom calls and for recording.Pros:- solidly built- stays where I put the mic, no sag- came with velcro wire management ties- came with nice pop screen (not needed, but nice for the cost)- it does what it is supposed to do, and I have had no problems with it.- no exposed springs to make noise or get in the wayCons:- the mounting bracket is plastic, not metal- it can be a little stiff to move one handed, I just use two and take a moment to move it- the mic mount rod, silver part that the mic holder screws on to, doesn't tighten up quite as much as I would like or expect. So about the cons, none are even close to being deal breakers. Both the mounting bracket and the stiffness can be dealt with by being careful, and not overly so. I'm just a bit concerned that if I just pull the arm that as stiff as it is, it might break the plastic mount. I have no reason to believe that might happen other than prior experience with plastic, but it has held strong so far, several months on down the road here. The last con about the mic mount rod is easily addressed by keeping the orientation either mostly straight up or down. If you need to angle it there shouldn't be a problem with a relatively light mic like an SM58 or even an SM7B. But much heavier and it might slip if it is oriented more toward horizontal. Again, not a problem for me, just an observation.Bottom line: it's a great value, not the cheapest, but by no means expensive. Even if I have to buy another in a year, it will still be cheaper than the Rode.

Best bang for the money
I like all others were searching for an inexpensive boom arm to hold my microphone and spent the better part of a month and a half searching and researching inexpensive boom arms. When I purchased this product I was on the other hand waiting till I had said product and used said product to do a review in hopes it would help others trying to find a suitable boom arm for their streaming/gaming setups. This Boom arm is able to hold up and screw in quite nicely a Blue snowball ICE for those that were wondering as I had not come across one that says this, they all say blue snowball and not ICE. It comes with the screw adapters for other mics and when screwing in your mic don't be like some and expecting this to just pop on, screw it slowly because mics are expensive and sometimes like with all things don't catch right away (Don't let this hinder you). It is sturdy and quite strong, able to stretch and come back without it being loose, it does take some pulling to get it out which is what you want. It does also hold in the position you want it to stay in. You do have to make sure it is secure to the desk and the part that sits on the desk has to be level, I though it was didn't realize it wasn't and had to recrew. Do not be afraid to really screw it tight to your desk. No problems at all after that I can bang it, push it, it's not moving. I was afraid to buy this for fear of it not being secure or not holding my microphone up, and being "cheap" as they call it. This product is worth every cent. As for the round filter that's supposed to go on the microphone does not fit over the blue snowball or the blue snowball ICE, that's the only con. Everything else the pop filter works brilliantly, the connectors they all work fine and help with cable management and this boom arm has a pretty good reach. If your looking for an honest review I hope I have helped make your decision. I was on the fence, cringing and biting my teeth hoping I hadn't ordered something terrible. I was actually surprised at the fact this boom arm was well made and for the price I paid I am happy.

I expected more from the desk clamp and the overall arm is quite rigid.
For the price of 45 dollars it is an OK product, the things I didn't like:1. The clamp that goes to the desk is plastic, I was hoping for a more robust material, like aluminum or metal for example.2. I had read before the purchase, that the arm was rigid and for me, that's ok, because I don't move the arm much, I always have it in a fixed position. But sometimes I have to extend the arm and because of the rigidity of the arm, I have to get up from the chair and extend it using both hands (just to give you an idea of how rigid it is, I have to use both hands). However, to rotate it, it is not necessary to apply so much force, it is only to extend it and count it.The good thing:1. It seems to me an economical and accessible product.2. The arm itself is made of good material, my previous arm was a neewer (a pretty cheap arm). This InnoGear is better in terms of arm quality.3. It comes with several accessories (although I did not need them), a nice touch was to include 5 velcro ties, it is not a big deal but appreciated.
