Just how good can a $200 projector be?
The media could not be loaded. Turns out pretty great.I recently ordered this projector as an upgrade to our previous Crenova BL-76; which has also been a nice little machine. All I can say is that inexpensive LED projectors have come a long way in the last 5-10 years. Budget projectors used to be described as dim, low resolution, and loud among a whole host of other negative things. It used to be that your minimum barrier of entry to getting a decent (read: usable) projector was somewhere between $500-$600. But all of that has changed. I mean it really is hard to believe that today you can get a projector with a picture this good for around $200.I went with this Crenova because we have had a great experience with our older Crenova BL-76 model as well. I could not recommend this projector more wholeheartedly as it represents an excellent value, in my opinion. We also own an older but high-end 1080p Mitsubishi projector (which once sold for around $3k) that is installed as our primary screen for the living room. The Crenova serves as our secondary screen for the bedroom. Yes, that is right, we sold our TV a few years back and transitioned to solely using projectors in place of a traditional TV. We haven't regretted our decision since. What completely blows me away is that this new projector is every bit as bright as our Mitsubishi with a traditional mercury lamp. It is by far the brightest LED projector I have ever seen which is perhaps the biggest compliment I can give this little Crenova. The very bright picture means the contrast and colors of your screen look great and ambient light in the room isn't going to fade out your picture to unusability. You can easily use this projector in a lit room. I can't stress how huge this is folks. Brightness is one of the most important factors to get right with a projector and this one excels in that area where a lot of other LED projectors I've seen or tried are lackluster, IMHO.The picture itself is crisp, clear and colorful. Compared to our Mitsubishi, smaller font isn't as crisp so I probably would not recommend this Crenova for a business/meeting room setting. However, for movies and games this difference in clarity is not noticeable and the picture looks detailed and clear thanks to the native 1080p resolution. The projector itself is made of a quality plastic and the housing feels durable. The led bulb means you won't ever have to maintenance the projector outside of making sure the ventilation is clear of dust. I much, much prefer the white color over the candy apple red of our old Crenova because the white gives this a more mature and refined look. It goes better with most interior decor. The lighted touch panel buttons on the projector are nice. Easy to see and they work well. However, I do sometimes wish they were less bright. In a dark room they glow noticeably and that's probably my only complaint about this projector. It comes with two hdmi ports, a vga port, headphone/stereo out, two usb ports and an old-school rca video out. This is a perfect compliment of ports. It's great because a Roku or Firestick can be plugged into the usb and powered off of the projector itself to minimize cabling. The projector also has a nice speaker that gets loud and remains crisp and clear with even a little upper/mid bass which is surprising. It definitely gets loud enough to fill a room which means hooking up a sound system is optional but not necessary for pleasant viewing/listening.The projector comes with a remote as well that works well and allows you to change inputs on the fly as well as adjust your picture and sound settings and volume. The remote is well laid out and works well. No complaints there. There really isn't much to criticize about this little projector. On its own merits this projector is good but when you consider how inexpensive it is at $200 and how much picture quality you get for your low investment, it becomes outstanding. It's true, our Mitsubishi still has a better picture but the Crenova isn't that much worse and that's really saying something when you are comparing a $200 projector to a $3k one.If we didn't own the Mitsubishi, I would have no problems running this in our primary system in the family room day in and day out. It is that surprisingly good and I can't recommend this enough. Just take a look at the pictures I've included and the picture quality! An easy five stars from me.

Best bang for your buck budget projector. Fantastic
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic budget projector. I have been a budget projector user for about 5 years and love to watch how they advance over the years. I have another Crenova projector that I am already using and I love it. I needed a mobile projector for outdoor movies so I gave this one a try because the price seemed right in my range. Needless to say Crenova does not disappoint. This projector is great.Picture is definitely native 1080p and extremely crisp and bright. I haven’t used it yet in a really bright environment but it is brighter than my old one which handles my well lit man cave with no issues. One of the best things about it is the built in speakers. They are loud and sound really good. I often have issues with this when trying to use mobile projectors as I often need an external speaker to hear them. You can hear the audio a bit in the video I posted, but it doesn’t do it justice. It is fantastic. The touch screen is a pretty good feature too especially if mounting on the ceiling as I often end up messing my angle up on my old projector from trying to press the physical buttons.Overall I am extremely impressed with it and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good budget projector. Well worth every penny. It does have some cons, but they were so small that I felt no need to take stars. See below.Pros and Cons:Pros:-true Native 1080p output and really crisp picture- built in speakers are loud and can easily be heard indoors or out.- fan is relatively quiet and does not disrupt the audio much- touch screen is great for easily navigating menus and is responsive to light touch.- easy to adjust focus rings.- projector is light weight and easy to carry when compared with other types of similar size.- has a push button spring height adjuster. Very easy to get the correct height without needing to rotate a screw.- filter screen that can be removed and cleaned to help with airflow and keeps the internals clean.Cons:- remote is not the greatest and seems to only work when facing front or back of the device. Has some issues from the sides. It does work great from the correct angle.- does not have manual keystone correction. Keystone is done electronically but I prefer the old school keystone knob on the back. The built in keystone in the menu is not bad though and can get pretty precise with some play. Just requires the extra steps of navigating menus a bit.
