Not great
This game was obviously made by someone who does not speak English as their first language. For instance the cards will have an image that does not match the word, or it's an antiquated word or something that most young children would not know. For instanceLooks like a beaver, but the word is "Marmot"Picture looks like a turtle, but the word is "Thunderbolt"Picture is cheese, but it says "yogurt"And so on. The rest of the game is ok, but they are not great site words or high frequency words, so children really need to have a decent reading vocabulary to be able to play this game.

Great Learning Game!!
I am an elementary school teacher and LOVE this game! I purchased it with my young students in mind, but have decided to keep it at home for my 2-year-old instead. My daughter is learning her letters and loves using the fly swatter to slap the cards. These is a high-quality product with a lot of versatility--you can play for letter recognition, letter sounds, sight words, and even for picture recognition. It is a game we'll be able to use for a long time. I'd give this 10 stars if I could--great value for the price!

Not good for learning sight words
I have taught first grade and first grade reading for over 30 years. I was extremely disappointed. The words included were not high frequency words from any list, nor were the words ones they could easily decode. Only capital letters were used, no lower case included. The words were small and were hard to see on every set but level one. Levels 2-4 included pictures with the words. Kids will use the picture instead of learning the word. Very little instructions included. I was disappointed because I bought them to help my 5 year old grandson learn some high frequency words. It would be okay to help learn capital letters but he knows them Think about your use before you buy.

Makes Learning Fun!
Purchased this for my TK student (transitional kindergarten) to practice sight words. When I play with her I obviously play at her level. She really enjoys the game and each time we play she learns a new word! After about two weeks of playing, I donated the game to her class. The students LOVED playing the game during free time play. The cards are double sided and up to four players can play at a time. The teacher even loved the game so much that she purchased a second game so more students can play at once!

Cute game, Kids love it, but also love to use the swatters as weapons.
This game is really cute, in idea and practice. Swatting bugs with words on it is a really fun way to work on sight words without feeling like it's overtly just school learning.Tons of words, not all are usual words, but our son loves to play, and we make him sound out the words he doesn't know (Which, yes isn't sight words) so he's learning in multiple ways.just... play it under supervision or those swatters turn into weapons, ouch :)

It photos better than the actual game
My son played this game once but I had to revamp the game. Being an elementary teacher, the words included in this game were not the ones that are required to know at K/1st level and I had to create many bugs of my own. I wish there were more blank bugs included as there are only a few supplied. What I did was cut paper out, writing the words he needed to know on it and then I taped it over the words the game gave us. I ended up returning this,

Swatting success
Purchased this for my toddler ...so much fun She loves swatting away at her letters. Ive even been able to adapt it to accommodate my oldest who is only 4.Some of the words were too much so I created my own set out of markers and index cards and added to the mix. Worked just the same.

Good for beginner readers
I like that this is a good game for kids to learn site words. It can be played as multi player or with one child. The cards are durable and thick, so easy for small hands to handle.
