I do not know but I imagine it’s ok.

Suitable for all skin types. Reduce the use of dry skin.

Q: Will this actually whiten my skin?

no, it doesn't it cleans perfectly and has a whitening effect but it is not a product to intensively whiten the skin tone. If you want whitening, you can make rice water at home and use that for cleansing, else The Face Shop also might have a range made with rice water.
