This head guard features an open face system, which means your nose and mouse may still get hit (more the nose than the mouth).I use this for MMA, I initially owned the head guard which has a steel nose bridge because my nose bleeds fairly easily. The issue with that was that I couldn't see any kicks that were being thrown at me. I decided to buy this because it was at my budget price zone. There were so many head guards at this price range that I decided to buy this with some gloves my friend recommended.The material is pretty good, and it provides a nice amount of protection from punches in moderate sparring. I haven't tried it in heavy sparring yet.I like the closure system, there aren't any annoying strings or anything fiddly. My wife bought me this product as a birthday present. I'm not a fan of head guards due to the blocking of vision and cumbersome feel to them, yet I understand the need for them.This head gear provides real functionality to the product. It is slimline and a good fit around the head making it feel both comfortable and as close to not wearing one as possible, yet the padding is effective.It doesn't off balance you or obscure your vision as others have, basically it doesn't feel like you have a melon weighing you down on your head.I could happily move, slip, bob and weave plus see fine while knowing that the head gear would help protect me from those mistakes we all make.Very satisfied with the purchase. This head guard really surprised me. Its made from good material. Its comparable to some more expensive glove previously owned.I use these for heavy sparring, and so far it's been excellent. It reduces the shock /impact from punches significantly. Advice to anyone wanting to do heavy sparring would be to invest in a high quality head guard. This particular one is great if you're going to do medium to light sparring. I'd suggest a full face mask or other head guard system for heavy full contact sparring.For the price, this is an excellent head guard. It's comparable to RDX and everlast head guards that'll cost you around £30.

Great protection, i could tell the impacts were more diminished when wearing the headgear. Headgear is mostly secure in place, doesnt slide as much. Material on the inside feels soft and comfortable. My ears fit well into the earholes. Very light weight. Overall my head fits really well. The colors are pretty cool,Best part about this headgear is VISIBILITY. It is awesome. My top vision isnt blocked like my other headgears.

I bought this as sparring head gear for taekwondo. The large fitted me well and all the velcro adjustments mean that it would fit many size heads.I used it in my first sparring session and it felt comfortable and cushioned blows well.

good level of padding has protection. The positioning of the cheek protectors prevents most shots from falling on the face. Well made with a padding it fits comfortably with good visibility. Good color, the perfect size.
