WiFi Range Extender | WiFi Repeater, 300Mbps Wireless Router Signal Booster Amplifier Supports Repeater/AP, 2.4G Network Amplifier Covering Whole Smart Home

I was a bit confused by this WiFi at first. I'm accustomed to just plugging a WiFi USB in and having it work.While they advertise "No CD disk needed" you still need to install a driver before the unit will work. The way they do it is they make the unit look like a thumb drive when you first plug it it. So after you plug it in, go to file explorer and look for a new disk.Look for the folders in that disk. There will be one for Windows and one for a Mac. Click on the appropriate one and you'll see the driver installation file. Double click on that file to install the driver.Once you do that, the unit seems to work fine. I don't have much experience with it - I just installed it - but it works. I'll have to do some speed tests to see if it lives up to it's claims but I expect it will.Due to its small physical size I expect it will not get the range that a unit with a larger antenna will, but since, in my case, the computer is fairly close to the router, that should not be a problem.Overall, a good unit but not Plug-and-play.

My speed went from 40 mbps to 100 mbps when I plugged this into my laptop. (I pay for 100 mbps but had never even come close before.) I only wish I had discovered this years ago!The technician just casually mentioned this dongle to me on his way out the door after checking to be sure the incoming signal was the 100 I'm paying for. It was, so he determined that, because my PC was so old, I would need to plug in the ethernet or buy a dongle. i ordered the dongles right away and while I waited for it to arrive I plugged in the ethernet cord and my speed was amazing. When the dongles arrived I tried mine in my laptop since I don't mind the ethernet cord in the computer. The speed more than doubled in a NEW laptop. I am shocked at what a difference a little dongle could make so I would recommend this, not just for old computers, but for new ones as well. The difference is mind boggling.

It got recognized as a USB device, didn't install nothing and it is not plug and play... Tried it on 3 other comp, 1 with win 10 factory install 1 with win 10 and it had a wireless wi-fi adapter that does work and tried it on 1 with win 7 pro and it did the same got recognized as a USB device and did nothing. Wrote the seller an E-Mail with no reply so I decided to write this review. I hate writing bad reviews but the seller didn't get back to me.....

I purchased this after a friend recommended it. I was having problems with buffering on my ROKU while streaming due to the distance from my WiFi modem to my bedroom. I've been using it for a week now and it's made a difference. The setup was a little confusing at first, but after reading another review about it not being plug and play, I was able to follow the instructions and was able to load it on my laptop. Glad I found this!

This is not a 600Mbps adapter, it's a 150Mbps - 433Mbps at 2.4GHz - 5.8GHz respectively. AC600 refers to the adapter and not the Mbps. It does work well at 150Mbps - 433Mbps though and I'm not too disappointed with this purchase. I would have given it 5 stars if the description matched the product.

My 1st impressions are good i had no problem setting it up with just a phone you plug in the unit and connect to the wifi network with your phone and then open a the My router web page in the instructions anyone with basic computer knowledge should not have a problem setting up the unit as a repeater after setting it up the wireless extender works great! It really boosts the range and speed of the WiFi in my house i have a lot of smart devices that control most of the lights in my house and also my security cameras. I haven't had any problems at all with my cameras being slow.

The extender will connect to network, but will not allow any unit to connect to it. Vendor technical help is to send a start up guide which came with the unit. No help from the vendor. Amazon technical help tried but could not get the extender to work, Returning and new unit will be sent out. Hope for better results.
