In about two months its been dropped, swung, stepped on and drown in several juices and doesn't miss a step - so it would seem they've put together a quality product. The controller functions well - though it doesn't have the analog L2/R2 input or touch pad of the dualshock, neither of which was a concern for the 5 year old. Its large enough that its not awkward for an adult, but best suited to kids. I would like to see a Bluetooth version - even at a slightly higher price point.Overall, it's very well suited to a kid wandering around the Lego variants of Hogwarts.

My son adores this controller! I’ve bought a bunch of video games just for him now (cause he can actually play now) before his hands were too small to hold a controller properly so if we played anything it was super hard for my 6 year old son to manage. But nowww. He has his own games and confidently plays them. 😊 I’m a happy mom and proud gaming parent. This is for the win if you have small hands or your children do. Buy it! It’s a real PlayStation product it works perfectly with the system! Only downside is I wish it were wireless but I won’t get upset about it seeing that my son is at least able to play an enjoy it. So no love lost for the product! Great buy‼️‼️

Since the little ones are learning Minecraft, I figured they could try it on the PS4 instead of having their faces in front of tablets and they definitely needed something smaller than the original PS4 Dualshock 4 controllers!I've used Hori sticks before, and this had pretty decent reviews so I decided to check it out knowing it was wired, and not wireless.It is small and great for smaller hands, but the build quality is definitely cheap (much cheaper than the higher priced Hori fighting sticks). The sticks feel OK, but the d-pad is mushy and the other option/PS buttons are cheap rubber. I get it, this is a cheaper stick for smaller hands and they had to fit everything physically on there at a cheaper price point.Overall, this is a well done "mini" stick, but since the stock PS4 controllers are wireless, it really does feel like a step down in terms of quality and ease-of-use. I'd recommend this more for sitting around a desk or table vs. trying to use this in a living room/TV room where someone could yank it out or trip over it.

Surprisingly durable for the price. I've had this thing for many years and dropped it frequently during the process but still holds up perfectly fine

Great product, my daughter is 3 and it fits perfectly in her hands. She’s already been dabbling with the regular controllers but now she loves that she can actually reach all the buttons. I enjoy the way it feels and plays as well. I do wish there was a cordless variation but it’s not a big deal, she sits closer anyways, that’s more for my preference :p

This controller is simply not compatible with games or apps. I have on older PS4, but it is fully online and up to date. This controller only worked on the PS4's main menus. Once inside any App, (Disney, Minecraft, Netflix) the controller stopped working and only the PS4 home button works to bring you back to the main menu. Many people have this issue and no one is offering a solution. Does it only work with certain newer model PS4s? Maybe, who knows. The lack of support and troubleshooting is another red flag.I bought this specifically to play Minecraft with my son. I was not able to because one inside any app, this controller loses compatibility. Except the PS4 home button.

Purchased for my child's tiny tiny hands so she can play Minecraft with her siblings. Works perfectly with all the benefits of a corded device: she can't leave it randomly somewhere in the house, it doesn't have a battery to run out mid-game, the cord can be used to trip siblings who thwart her desire for a castle filled with bees....
