Good stone at a great price.
This is a high quality sharpening stone at a discounted price. It is as good as other stones you will see that sell for much more. Although this stone is perfectly good, I have it 3 stars for "easy to use"and "beginners" for two reasons:1. These stones require some study to use successfully.2. This one does not come with any instructions.You can remedy the lack of instructions by watching YouTube videos on how to sharpen with a stone. Still, some instructions should have helped.

Shipping is an afterthought - arrived broken
It's functional - that's the best i can say. Clearly no one cared about packaging this up and shipping it out with any kind of care.The sharpening stone itself was broken on the corner, so it's still functional. The rubber retaining bracket arrived unglued from the base and loose. The planing/repairing stone was straight up broken, making it useless. Had these pieces arrived not damaged, I'm sure this would be a fine product. No way I'm going to go thru the return/refund policy on a broken item like this.Bottom line: pay a little more for a better quality experience elsewhere.

Instructions NOT included (but watch video)
This is a good product at a price for identical products on Amazon at a higher price. BUT, UNBELIEVABLY it does not come with instructions in the kit. Fortunately there is a very good video on YouTube. I will add the YouTube link here, but if it doesn't work at YouTube search, "using a whet stone." There are many. The one that is for this very product is by Culinary Obsession and runs 4.01 minutes. What is still not made very clear is how to use the guide, but it is not really needed. #howtouseawhetstone

Consume fast
This stone is consume fast then what you think. It was not easy to soap in water. You need to take long time to make knife to sharp. But it still can make it. The flatten stone it so painful to be use. Only the eadge guard is good to keep in your knife box.

Easy when you have the proper knowledge.
I purchased this to sharpen the blades on my shears and it did exactly that. It took me a minute to get the hang of this whet stone, but after I viewed several YouTube videos it all came together seamlessly for me.

Good Product; Broken Base.
This a great buy for the price; stone works very well. The base showed up with a large broken chip out of it, but still enough of the edge to hold the stone in place. Didn't feel like waiting for a return and is something I can deal with.

Came broken
Everything about this was as describe. However, I received it in the mail with a broken wooden holder. Other than that, it seems to be great!

Nice product
Ordered for Son as a Christmas gift and upon opening the gift, discovered the Instructions were not included and the package was missing the small white piece. My son googled "how to use" whetstones and was instructed by other users to soak in water for 3o minutes. This actually made the stone fall apart when he started to use the first time. Wish the instructions were included to avoid damaging the whetstone.
