Boots for winter.
These are extreme cold weather hikers that are lightweight. The boots weigh about half as much as regular hiking boots because the sole doesn't have heavyweight rubber to hold you down and back. In other words, you don't get fatigued as fast. This is a good thing if you've had multiple ankle surgeries as I have.
